Magic GloopYou can download a copy of this activity by clicking here
Gloop is an excellent activity for mark making. When mixed together the corn flour and water turns to a liquid/solid mixture. When you make marks in the mixture it will gradually close back together so you can start again. If you pick the mixture up, it feels like a solid but as you open your fingers it will turn back to a liquid and pour through your fingertips. Yes it’s magic!
Ingredients:
1 Cup of Corn flour
Water to Mix
Food Colouring
Method:
1) Mix the water with the corn flour and food colouring to make a creamy consistency.
2) Pour the mixture onto a tray.
3) Use different tools to “write” in the gloop. Knives, pencils, fingers or anything that has a pointed end will work.
4) Use different tools to press into the gloop.
Pick the gloop up in your fingers and mould it into different shapes. Work quickly before it pours through your fingertips. Add food colouring to make coloured gloop or glitter to make sparkly gloop.
Gloop will brush off clothing easily when it dries but cover carpets and fabrics when possible.
